Celebrating A Year of Pattern Making.

Taking a moment today to celebrate and reflect

A year ago today I accomplished something years in the making.

I created my very first repeat pattern.

It felt great.

It still feels great when I complete a pattern.

A year ago I took a chance on myself and my dreams.

I took action.

I enrolled in Immersion with Bonnie Christine.

I invested time.

I invested money.

I showed up consistently everyday.

I put into practice what I was learning.

I took hand drawn doodles and image traced flowers from a photo taken years prior.

I then created my first repeat pattern.

Now a whole year later not only have I created more patterns, I’ve created a total of 9 collections with each collection containing between 5-8 patterns.

I have a beautiful website, built with heart, love and intentional thoughtfulness.

So, what’s next after a year of beautiful accomplishments?

Well, more patterns.

More collections.

More learning.

More growing.

More consistently showing up for myself everyday.

And most of all more love.

More love shared through art licensing.

To celebrate I’ve recolored my first pattern “Love Is In The Air”.

This pattern has seen many revisions.

Many times I had to start over.

And I’m sure it will be reworked again.

Whatever it is you would like to accomplish.

Start by showing up daily.

Consistently.

Every little bit counts.

Have patience with yourself and with the process.

Enjoy the process.

Appreciate where you are.

Be kind to yourself.

No harsh words or harsh thoughts.

Just love and kindness.

This is what it looked like for me creating one pattern at a time.

Some days spending hours.

Other days minutes.

When it got tough or felt overwhelming I paused.

I returned the next day and tried again.

At the end of each day I told myself how proud I was of myself.

I acknowledged the big accomplishments as well as the teeny tiny ones.

An accomplishment is an accomplishment and they are all worthy of acknowledgement.

I hope you too will take the time you are worthy of to acknowledge every accomplishment achieved, great and small.
